I began my career with URMC in 2008 as a patient care technician at Highland Hospital. Since then, I’ve become a registered nurse and have cross-trained across multiple units. For the past 10 years, I’ve served as a primary care provider in the Ambulatory Center at Strong Memorial Hospital, delivering comprehensive care to a diverse patient population. I have a focused interest in the management of infectious diseases and continue to support this specialty through my ongoing work with URMC’s Center for Community Practice (CCP).

At CCP, I contribute to CBA-funded initiatives and CEI/NYS DOH-funded projects that aim to strengthen New York State’s healthcare workforce. These efforts focus on improving clinical outcomes in HIV, STIs, Hepatitis C, and the health of those who use drugs through provider education, technical assistance, and clinical consultation. As part of this work, I help deliver evidence-based training and resources to clinicians across the state.

My background in sales and marketing has also been an asset in healthcare administration. I’ve collaborated with nursing leadership on a range of strategic projects, including off-label product analysis, ANCC Magnet designation tours, copywriting for Highland ICU’s Beacon Award application, new programs such as the HIV ARV Injectable Program, and even the development of marketing materials. Samples of some of this early work are available in my portfolio.

Product Marketing Manager
Working for Buffalo Filter, I was responsible to maintain a marketing budget and manage the details of multiple trade show exhibitions to support sales growth. These activities included working with the CEO and VP of Sales & Marketing to facilitate advertising, press release, and web-site creation/publishing.
In this position I was also responsible to perform graphic artist duties to generate marketing and training materials for sales teams. I worked with commercial printers and photographers in order to bring these projects to completion. Some examples of the work I did in this position can also be seen in my portfolio.

Working at tis retail chain some of my successes included: Increasing yearly comp. sales 10% against negative industry averages, identifing and developing 4 new managers internally, and implementing a regional training support system for a DOS scheduling program.

I completed my my Master's Degree at University of Rochester in 2015. During my time in this program I trained in multiple clinical specialities, enhanced my knowledge base regarding research/evidence based clinical practice, and also developed my understanding of public health policies. In 2015, I was honored as the "Student Nurse Practitioner of the Year" for the Rochester/Finger Lakes Chapter of the NYS Nurse Pracitioner's Association.
